June Workshop: Risk Management and Contracts from a Legal and Accounting Perspective

Session 1 (June 15 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM): Riding the Wave: Risk Management during Turbulent Times from a Legal and Accounting Perspective
In the midst of a pandemic, nonprofit associations have had to pivot from traditional operational methods by shifting operations to working from home, virtual events and remote meetings. This session will discuss how organizations can protect themselves by employing risk management techniques in a constantly changing world.

Session 2 (June 16 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM): Anatomy of a Contract: vendors, hotels and consultants, Oh my!
This session will break down and examine the key elements of contracts that associations face day-to-day. With the pandemic, obscure clauses that everyone previously ignored as boilerplate became very important. This session will help understand the meaning behind the pages of contract terms for the non-lawyers.
